In 1919, 16-year-old Heinrich Kalkhoff started trading in bicycle parts at his family home in Cloppenburg, Germany. A year later, he expanded his business to include second-hand bicycles. In 1923, he produced his own bicycle frames, and a new bike manufacturer was born.
In 2015, and under management by Heinrich’s three sons, Kalkhoff secured its position as one of the leading e-bike makers in Europe by launching the Kalkhoff Integrale as the first commercially produced e-bike with a centre motor and fully integrated battery.
With 100 years of bicycle tradition, Kalkhoff brings a combination of traditional values and modern technologies to their range. This gives a modern and innovative interpretation that produces a unique design of clean lines, state of the art integration and a style-conscious colour scheme. The result is a harmonious overall picture that more than deserves the label “Engineered in Germany”.
